CASE STUDY: Optimising Incineration Technology for Navigator Gas’ New Liquefied Ethylene Gas Carriers

At Atlas Incinerators, we focus on delivering efficient and cost-effective waste management solutions for the maritime industry. When Navigator Gas ordered new 48,000 m³ LEG carriers at Jiangnan Shipyard, the initial specifications included a heated oil residue tank equipped with an extraction fan.

The Challenge: Simplifying Design and Reducing Costs

Our X10 incinerator can handle oil residues with a water content of up to 50% without requiring an additional extraction fan heating in the oil residue tank. This allowed us to offer a more efficient, low-maintenance solution.

Our Solution: A Smarter, More Efficient Design

We engaged with Navigator Gas’ technical team to present the benefits of our solution:

  • No need for an extraction fan, reducing complexity and maintenance
  • No heated oil residue tank required, lowering energy consumption
  • A more streamlined design, optimising vessel operations

Following a successful technical meeting, Navigator Gas supported our design in discussions with the shipyard, leading to an order for the first four vessels. We are now working on a G&O frame agreement with Navigator Gas, strengthening our collaboration for future projects.

At Atlas Incinerators, we continue to challenge traditional approaches, providing smart, sustainable solutions that improve efficiency and reduce costs.
