From Congo to Greenland
November 2024
Incineration stands out as the most practical and efficient method for waste disposal, particularly in remote areas where transportation poses significant challenges. This approach ensures effective waste management when traditional logistics are not feasible due to distance, rugged terrain, or other constraints.
Atlas Incinerators frequently provide tailored incineration solutions for clients operating on land. For instance, major generator manufacturers often require a comprehensive, turnkey waste management system as part of their power plant projects in developing countries. In these scenarios, it is imperative that the incinerators are designed to operate continuously, 24 hours a day, throughout the entire year to meet the demands of consistent waste disposal and maintain uninterrupted plant operations.
In addition to servicing power plants, we have successfully supplied incinerators for use in remote and often extreme environments. Notable examples include an environmental cleanup initiative in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where reliable waste disposal was crucial, and a deployment for the Royal Danish Army’s base in Greenland, where harsh weather conditions necessitated robust and dependable equipment. These projects highlight our ability to adapt our incineration technology to meet the stringent requirements of diverse, challenging locations around the world.
Watch the video to see how Atlas Incinerators did the first incinerator land installation in Greenland and how it helped the Royal Danish Army with waste disposal in harsh weather conditions.
